Belle - The AuDHD Fairy

Welcome! I’m Belle - The AuDHD Fairy ✨

Neurodiversity Coach | Support Worker | Lived Experience Practitioner

Like so many women, my path to understanding myself was long and winding. For years, I struggled with my mental health, cycles of burnout, and a constant feeling that I was drowning, while others glided past. I spent years in therapy for CPTSD, but I didn't feel like it explained my experience fully. When I read about AuDHD, it was like someone had written about me. The juxtaposition of being both, how traits can mask or exacerbate each other, and the exhaustion of feeling like I could never please both sides of my mind at once. After a long and difficult fight for referral, I finally got my diagnosis. The relief was immense - it all finally made sense! I grieved, I celebrated, I researched.

Having spent my early career in youth work and family support, shortly after my diagnosis I started a patient facing role for one of the Right To Choose providers. Through speaking to hundreds, if not thousands of patients, I was struck by the almost universal experience of a lack of support available pre and post diagnosis. The system can feel like it's built against you, I mean whose idea was it to rely on an ADHDer being able to complete that many forms?!

You eventually get your diagnosis, then what? No one is there to help you incorporate this new information to your life. To help make living sustainable. To show you tools and routines that will actually work for your brain. After hitting burnout again, I worked with my own ADHD coach, it was a pivotal turning point - it transformed my inner voice and my outside life. Simply having the experience of being understood before I even spoke, having my experiences explained and validated, I felt years of misunderstanding and shame fall away. Someone got it!

That experience sparked a passion in me: I knew I wanted to offer the same transformational support to others, but with the added practical support-work I feel is missing from services.

Now let me be clear: I may be an AuDHD coach, but I'm still packing an extensive hobby graveyard, at least three active doom piles, and my very empty water bottle is staring at me as we speak. We are in this together!

I asked a friend how they'd describe me to a prospective client - "She's deeply empathetic, will instantly make you feel safe to be yourself somehow, and is overall human sunshine". Totally not biased, eh!

Professional Experience:

My passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals and families isn't just personal:

  • 10+ Years Supporting Families: I have spent over a decade working directly with children and families as a Youth Worker and Nanny, supporting children with diverse needs and guiding parents through complex developmental journeys.

  • NHS / RTC Experience: When working at an NHS Right to Choose (RTC) I guided hundreds, if not thousands, of patients and parents through the triage and assessment process. I heard firsthand how 'battered and bruised' people felt trying to fight their way through the system - and how lost they felt afterward when left with little to no post-diagnostic support.

  • Ongoing Academic Specialisation: I am currently completing my degree in Childhood and Youth Studies to further deepen my expertise and expand my capacity to support SEN parents and carers.
